How to Play Exploding Kittens With Only Two Players

Exploding Kittens with two players plays almost exactly the same as with more players, this is why you can use the copy of the game you already have instead of buying the two player edition.

The Exploding Kittens setup for two players is pretty similar except for the number of cards used and more importantly how many Exploding Kittens are placed in the deck.  When playing with two players, only one Exploding Kitten card is shuffled into the deck.  This is probably the biggest and most important difference in the game when playing with two players.

Is Exploding Kittens Fun With 2 Players?

That’s up to you to decide.  It is quite a different game at 2 then it is at 5 or 10 players but we think it’s still quite enjoyable.  You can read our full thoughts in our Exploding Kittens 2 Player Edition Review here.
